Megan started photography in high school, graduated from Tri-C with a

photography degree in 2017, and started working full-time in photography

since then. 

​

Here's more about Megan in her words . . . 

​

"When I’m not being a wife or mom, I’m constantly trying to think of projects or

practice my skill with other fellow creatives. I have a big garden in the summer

where I spend a lot of my time and photograph flowers in my garden."

​

"I always wanted to be a photojournalist. Now a days with social media, photojournalists aren’t as needed as they once were. So I find my own ways to do photojournalism. I want to bring awareness through my photos. Whether that's awareness of climate change and what a massive footprint people are leaving behind, or bringing awareness to the wonderful resources accessible to us that people might not know about."

 

"That is one of the reasons I wanted to do this project of photographing women-owned businesses, particularly focused in healing work. I enjoy doing Reiki, Yoga, and Sound Baths because they all help to center/ground me and feel more calm. It’s a passion to help people in any capacity I can and bringing awareness while promoting is one of them."

The details . . .

• Heartland Homestead is hosting a Nurture Photoshoot Event on April 13 from 10am-1pm.

  • A neutral headshot area will be set up along with a yoga studio vibe to take pictures of you sharing your offerings. ​

• Come for your time slot or stay the entire time and network, chill, + enjoy foraged tea + homestead snacks. 

  • Collaboration, laughter, + big dreams will be served up hot. ​

• What you get (besides connection, vibes, + lots of cheering you on in your dreams):

  • 20-minute photoshoot of you doing your thing (bring instruments, a special mat, props, whatever you need for your vibe)

  • 5-8 Headshots + pictures of you in action (yoga poses, playing an instrument, doing a reading, etc.)

    • Options to add on more photos as desired.

Your investment? $100.
